Our Head Chef Des Wins Comedy Award

After 7 months of knock out stages, our very own Head Chef Des Grant, had reached the finals night and was competing against 10 other comedians for the title of 'Hampshire Comedian of the year '25'. The Attic comedy club in Southampton was hosting and I could not miss the opportunity to support Des.

The array of talent was amazing, each with their own style and humour. Des was up 10th so a few hours of nail biting was in front of him. Comedian after comedian came and went, some very good, some great.   

Des finally took to the stage and he did not disappoint, a very funny set of 'close to the bone' style comedy that had the audience in a constant wave of laughter.

The final comedian came and went and so to the results...... First, the Rookie Comedian of the Year went to Des!...... The main award for Overall Comedian of the Year then followed and Des came in second, a thoroughly commendable, and well deserved recognition of his talents.
