2025 A golfing guarantee for better golf from Harry

I would like to welcome all our members to a new year and I shall start it off with a promise: if you work at the following I give you a guarantee your scores will improve!

According to Einstein, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again yet expecting a different result.

In order to perform better than you have been you need to improve what you’re doing...obvious I hear you say...I would clarify by stating that you can improve without changing the fundamental swing. IRRELEVANT OF HOW YOU SWING IT, you can still improve dramatically!

Do you analyse in order to understand? Trust me when I say that very few of our lesson clients actually know their weaknesses... e.g. just because you don’t hit the driver well doesn’t mean it’s the area costing you the most shots.

Some questions to ask yourself. If you can answer YES you will unlock better golf.

Do you have a ‘stock shot’ or guaranteed results shot?

Do you swing to play? (Rather than swing to hit)

Can you land a ball onto a tea towel from 10 yards away with multiple clubs?

Can you tell where your putt has gone (length and direction) without looking

Whilst practising swinging, can you hit a small tee peg EVERY time without fail?

Do you have at least 3 options available to you on every approach shot?

If you answer all of these with a positive YES, you are already awesome and in no need of extra work.

If you answered NO to most of these then you have a lot of room for improvement.

PERFORMANCE GOLF has very little to do with how you swing. Performance golf is all about SHOT CHOICES and options for maximum percentage of success.

Work on the questions above and take control of your game, rather than just worrying about how you swing and hit the ball, if you do these things you will improve.
